Re: Didn't Green Day learn anything from Everclear?

Green Day has enough money and established hits that they probably don't care how well the new albums sell. They've reached that level that very few bands do (probably just them and the Foo Fighters as far as 90's bands go) where they'll probably be playing stadiums for the duration of their career ...

I can't figure it out.
It's been a couple days since I watched the video but it was something along the lines of "I still live in Portland, I'll always live in Portland!"

Sea Change wrote:It looked as if the two met the new band for the first time on stage while accepting the award, which was entertaining. Craig didn't look very comfortable, but it may have just been me.

Re: Everclear to be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall Of F

It looks like Art, Craig, and Greg will be there. Greg just posted "At LAX flying to Portland to be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame with Art and Craig. First time we will be in a room in 9 years!" Hmmmm... this is actually mildly interesting! I'm sure it'll just be them all on stage tog...

Re: Santa Ana Wind on Jimmy Kimmel

After watching that performance, I'm still not going to buy the new album. I commend him for still performing but his voice is fading to the point where it sounds kind of painful to listen to him sing. Yes, I'm bitching about it but at the same time I think it is kind of awesome that he is still ar...

Re: Santa Ana Wind on Jimmy Kimmel

I think you guys are having high expectations. Everclear is not the first band to jack up lyrics of their own songs. I once saw Aerosmith about 10 years ago and sat on side of the stage. Steven Tyler literally had a screen with the words on them like karaoke. It happens. Art got thru them pretty we...

What's the big deal? Art's playing in an Everclear tribute band.

Ba-dum-tish.

I don't see what harm there is in debating it. What else do we have to talk about?

Re: Everclear to be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall Of F

That, and ever since they quit Art's been pushing this angle that Everclear has, like, totally always just been his solo project. Which is total bullshit. NOW it is. When he does interviews he's always on his own, I've noticed he's the only guy in the meet and greet pictures from the summerland tour...

Re: Everclear to be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall Of F

What Chris said. Also, for me, it has nothing to do with whether or not Everclear rocks. I never really thought of them as a particularly heavy band anyway, which is why I was always a little puzzled by GTFABA being billed as a "return to rock." GTFABA is this weird arena rock record that doesn't so...

Re: Everclear to be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall Of F

Yeah I can't say I hold a few petty potshots at Art against him. Art wrote a few very strong albums and he's a talented guy, but I've never gotten the impression he was terribly pleasant to work with. If things were bad enough for easy-going Greg to quit too they must have been pretty bad, aye?
