Does Craig & Greg Hate Everclear?

Post by bob4775 » Thu Jul 06, 2006 1:30 pm

I am pretty much asking what the topic name says, does Craig and Greg hate Everclear now? I was going to post this message on The Oohlas myspace page:

Hey, thx for the add. Mark and Ollie you guys are awesome and Greg, I have been a huge fan ever since Everclear's Sparkle & Fade days. I cant wait for the new record to come out, Snow Shoes is an awesome song. Anyway, thx again for the add and Rock-On.

But then I thought, no maybe I shouldn't post this......I dont know how Greg feels about Everclear. So if anyone here could tell me if that would be an ok message to post or if Greg and Craig are totally trying to forget the fact that they were in Everclear for like 10 years?

Craig's page said that, but I don't think Greg hates Everclear.

Greg seems like a nice guy. I can't see him hating anybody. haha

well, one thing is greg, but i'm sorry to tell you you won't be able to communicate only with him; if bob is posting messages at the oohlas myspace website then also his brother and ollie tamale will see it... and as far as i know, they kinda hate everclear, but maybe not as much as craig.

i visited the oohlas message bored one day and a guy asked if they would ever do a cover of Santa Monica, and ollie replied "why would we play an everclear cover?"

and remember greg said he would never play any everclear song live...

i think it would be a very bad idea to post that you're an everclear fan in a website of a band whose leader is an ex-everclear member.

anyway greg is way more intelligent than craig in his declarations about everything of this.

They wouldn't play an everclear cover song, because what actual band has ever covered everclear. I'm not talking about your friends shitty garage band. Cover songs are lame on albums, and they are lame live.

Vertical Horizon (anyone remember them?) covered IWBYANL, but I'm not sure that counts . . . .

I don't think Greg really cares, but I do think he (and Mark and Ollie) would rather not be compared or really be connected with Everclear. It's cool that fans check them out but besides that... who cares? And yeah don't mention it to Craig ever ever ever

yeah that's true, i think greg and his crew know they can be something big without being connected to everclear, not as craig did once, when he came here and started promoting his album, remember?

he got a little more than NOTHING and greg is doing great without trying to make publicity out of us.

I was joking because vertical horizon disappeared so fast.

I don't have a link, but it must be floating around somewhere?

I honestly don't think either of them care, at least anymore.

Why would anyone ask the Oohlas to cover 'Santa Monica'? What joke!
