bass amp

does anyone know any decent bass amps that wont make my bank account sad? i just started playing bass and im not too amp savvy.

I've always used Crate when it comes to lower powered/priced amps. I've only had 2 in 15 years, and the first one I had sold when I quit playing, so they do hold up. A 25 watt bass amp will do you if you are just playing in your house by yourself, and that will run you roughly 250 bucks. If you want to skip buying 2 amps (1 for you, 1 for playing in a band) I recommend you at least go for 100 watts, so you can be heard over a guitar amp. It's not fun plugging a 25 watt amp into a PA system just to be heard over drums.
