Perhaps it's a matter of taste. "Cute" doesn't do it for me. But he does make me laugh my ass off.

I just bought a songs of the season CD from Kohls, and it has "A New York Christmas" by Rob Thomas. It's a good CD if you like oldies too...

Manheim Steamroller has 3 or 4 collections of holiday tunes. It's not hard rock, but it's interesting. Ditto for Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve and Other Stories, which does have a few hard rock tracks.

Oh geez, we had to perform Manheim Steamroller's "Stille Nacht" two years ago for our Christmas band concert. Even better (not), we HAD to sing the background parts, due to our state standards for band (yeah, band members have to sing one song each school year, and choir students have to play simple instruments. Indiana is very wacked). Everyone had to sing except for my little clarinet section. We played the little melodic ditties that the keyboard would play. It would have been better if our lead alto saxophone player didn't have to show off his vocal talent.

I LOVE the TSO's version of "Ukranian Carol." One of my faves. ;)

I also dig Tom Petty's "It's Christmastime All Over Again" and EC's "Santa Baby" and HYFC. Does Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" count?

With Melissa, you get lost easily. This is why I don't give her a compass or a map. ;) j/k
