liberal/conservative

Post by twistinside1980 » Thu Dec 09, 2004 9:46 am

I admit, MF, I shouldn't have said "muslim" I should have said muslim extremist. I'll be quite honest with you I'm not really a conservative but then again I'm not liberal by far. I know people think I'm conservative because I believe in the death penalty and gun rights. However, I would like to have health insurance for my family which is more important to me than any right I could have. I am against abortion as a means of birth control.

From here on, lets just say what we believe in. and noone talk shit about what someone believes in...I've already started but I'll make a list of some more things:

1. Give welfare to the people who really need it.
2. Legalize Marajuana!!! 8)
3. Give a serious disease (like aids) to the top 5 people in the world and there will be about four different cures for it.
4. People who are charged with DUI should get more than just a slap on the wrist.

Liberal. Mainly because I find most conservatism to be laughably antiquated.

I don't see any point going into it in any more depth at the moment...

...maybe later.

In the meantime, this link is quite interesting to see where you stand:

I ended up in Gandhi territory some how.

I'm south west of Gandhi

Speaking of beliefs...

They NEED to do something about disability... the way they go about people on disability pisses me off.

I'm pretty much where I expected to be, in the Gandhi, Dalai Llama, Nelson Mandela group. Pretty lonely in a state where George Bush was re-elected, a rather inexperienced Republican male was chosen over an experienced Democratic female for governor and 7 out of 10 people voted for an amendment to ban gay marriage.

I'm just going to say that I am a liberal, but not freaky-hippie liberal like some mutual friends we have on the boards. I support free speech, abortion, I'm pro-gun-toting, and gay marriage. I think we did right in taking down Saddam, but now we should bring our people home. I am wholey against the legalization of marajuana, except for medical use. I'd say more, but I'm not in the mood for debate right now.
In closing, freakily conservative people and freaky liberal people annoy the fuck out of me. Good day.

i'm without a doubt a liberal and this topic tends to make me ramble so i apologize in advance
i'm pro-choice(please dont' confuse this with pro-abortion), pro-un cooperation, pro-people respecting us in the world again, extremely anti-bush, pro- universal health care, pro- actually receiving a pay-check when i have a career so i don't have to pay off our record-setting deficit, pro- alternative energy sources, anti- hereditary monarchy (this is reference to bush), pro-telling the truth to the american people, pro-self defense in afganistan, anti-war in iraq, pro-hello do something about north korea, againt allied relationship with saudi arabia, anti-monopoly (such as wal-mart), and i'll go ahead and stop
for those of you other north carolinians on here, i know there are a few, nc will be blue in 08 we were closer than you think 11/02, live to fight another day democratic left
