it's just the most ridiculous thing. but he's hiring lots of longtime politicos, so i think he'll just be the puppet who moves at the pleasure of those surrounding him. but hey, only in america can a hollywood fat cat decide to become governor. and nobody has ever been able to say that california politics aren't interesting....

Vote for me if you want to live. [/ahhnuld]

What a joke, seriously. He's got no place in any sort of political office.
The fact that he got voted in-by a landslide, no less-says many things about the citizens of California, and none of them are good.

What about Ronald Reagan? Did he have any political experience when he became governor?
I really don't know, but maybe Arnold will end up as president also.

I think Ronnie was president of the Screen Actor's Guild (or something like that) before he was governor, so at least he was in charge of something. Ahnuld was in charge of... uhh... Planet Hollywood? (And you can see how well that turned out.)

Thankfully, Arnold can't be President. (US Constitution, Article II, Section 1.) So he may rule California, but he can't rule the free world.

That is, until the machines take over.

he can't become president (thank god)...he wasn't born in the U.S.

and reagan had been president for a while of the screen actors guild before entering california politics. but the real politician was allegedly nancy -- she had studied government and encouraged him to run for governor in '68.

It's going to be weird to think that AH-nuld is now California' s governor. I'm just waiting to see if they're going to have new Terminator action figures dressed up in suits with guns.

I think the whole election would be worth it if Arnold would fly himself to the Mid-East to fight terrorism, action-movie style.

I'd watch that movie.

Haha! Definately.

I got in a fight with my boyfriend about this recently and he made a few good points. I guess I just wanna give him a fair chance to do it right. The only thing that really bothers me is his whole womanizing personality. It's not right to show Americans that kind of conduct is okay (which is effectively what has been done). But, I guess if it's what the people of Cali want...
