Back from the dead... kinda

Post by TheGoodWitchoftheNorth » Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:57 pm

Hey guys!

I know it's been a long time since I've checked in around here, but I thought I should let you know what's been going on around my neck of the woods.

I've been a super busy girl with two part-time jobs that have been draining me since I graduated from Ball State. Some of you know I lost one of my jobs back in 2009 when Borders decided to close up the local Waldenbooks at my mall (and I was only there for a few months with the promise of being in line for management when the owner retired in 5 years. So much for the grooming), and I ended up getting a new day job at my church as secretary/media specialist, but I still have my night job at a local fast food restaurant. If any of you young ones think it's easy, it's not. I'm about a quarter of a century old, and I'm mentally exhausted.

Additionally, I have a side project that I'm hoping will replace my two jobs with a matter of luck. Again, some of you know I am writing a novel series, and the first book is getting set up for publishing, hopefully, this year. The franchise of the series is called Angelic Guardians & Demonic Guardians, which you can check out the fan page on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/AngelicGuardians. It's a fantasy/apocalyptic/romance series that leads up to Revelations in the New World Order in 2012 (not that I'm saying such thing will happen in 2012, but rather a unique perspective of what could happen after 12/21/2012 in a modern view of John's revelations), and while it does have a lot of Christian symbolism and references, other religions and cults are brought into the light at the call for the need of coexist or religious tolerance. Now while that is all happening, the main core of the Angelic Guardians series concerns an underdog-like character who has to balance her mortal life with that of her angelic counterpart (and, yes, we're talking about half-breeds or vessels, whichever you wish to call them) in the midst of war and destiny. While some of you can sympathize with Harry Potter and Bella Swann, Rizu Hikarino/Tamashii has had her blows of rejection, betrayal, and bullying even though her university years. I know there are authors out there who do not want to touch on such subjects in mainstream literature let alone religious topics, but I like to be unconvential, and I think it's time to create a new craze to get off the boy wizard and (dare I say) illegitimate vampire bandwagon and start a new interest in the fight between angels and demons.

I hope you guys can support me with this project of mine. I will let you know for sure if I get signed with a publishing company and when the first book (Angelic Guardians: The Gathering) is released.
