playoff picks...

Post by joe » Mon Oct 13, 2003 3:16 am

Ok, here's my playoff picks:

I cannot describe my hate for the Yankees, so I'll just say go Sox. I can't say I really like the Sox, but Theo's done a good job this year, even though he is a youngen. On another side note, I hope Jeff Nelson gets thown in jail for jumping the grounds keeper. This is a little more personal for me since Nellie started saying crap about the Mariners front office when he was still a Mariner. Sure, it was pretty true what he was saying but how he said it was a bunch of crap; you don't do that. Anyway, back on track....

I don't know where to stand with the Cubs and the Marlins. I want the Cubs to win since they haven't won anything since the early 1900s, but I've been pulling for the Marlins all year. Pudge deserves to win after all the years with the Rangers. I dunno, I just like everyone on the Marlins.

So what does everyone else think?
I'll kick your ass if you pity me

:D Take up cricket. A game lasts for five days and no-one wins. Now that's a sport!

Actually, I don't suppose anyone's following the Rugby Word Cup? USA have a team. They blow gorillas through a screen door, but at least you big fairies made the effort.

Haha, if you can, so can I. I really really really want them to make it. I seriously JUST got into baseball like.. a week and a half ago. But now I'm so very into it, it's ridiculous. I don't know what it is, but I've just gotten SO into it.. watching the games, reading the sports page, actually understanding what people are talking about. I'm loving it and I love the Sox, so I really want them to at least get to the World Series.

I'm kind of the same...I've always followed baseball, just...idly. Never gotten involved much, but this year...yeah. I'm pretty into it.

Go Sox.

Same here. I guess I'm sort of an every sport freak though. NBA basketball, college football, and MLB baseball are my main areas of expertise though. Alright, so maybe I'm not an expert, but I like to pretend I am. :)

Man. I SO KNOW!!!! I had class from 4-7. Not fair. We have a break halfway through and everyone was calling friends to hear the score and I was so nervous and jittery for the entire class. My roommate was gone when I got back, but she left the TV on (so I could see the game as soon as I got in, I think) and RIGHT as I walked through the door, they tied the game. I thought that was a good sign, but you really never know know with them, but they pulled it off!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

There is really nothing more pathetic than someone jumping around and dancing in their room in victory all alone. I wanted to yell, but I didn't want to scare the neighbors, so I made some kind of "EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" noise. Haha, my god, I love the Red Sox.

Let's just hope we get through tomorrow's game without players (or coaches) getting killed or maimed or something.
