I meant it was weird that they have the picture posted but no real details, and the links to buy don't work. If I had to guess it will probably be a stripped down version of Ten Years Gone; less tracks, no b-sides and is being put out to ride any publicity Everclear may get off of Welcome To The Drama Club.
Hopefully I'm wrong and it will have something new for us.
Eleven Seven isn't owned by Capitol, but it does have ties to the Warner Music Group, so if WTTDC does well enough expect to see them on Atlantic, or some other Warner label.

"I think in all my songs, even though they seem depressing and dark, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. It might be a long ass tunnel, but there's a definitely a light." - Art Alexakis
why would anyone buy this?
Why would capitol release this?
Why not just re release the CD theyve already paid to put out?
My bet is that it is a re-release of the ten years gone album, just with different cover art.
I have never seen this picture before, makes me wonder just how many awsome pictures of the band capitol are sitting on.

When you find that things are getting wild
then don't you want days like these?

I was thinking the same thing. How many photos, videos, unreleased songs, etc. are they keepin there. Guess we'll never know.Fletch wrote:

everybody everywhere wishes they could tell, everybody everywhere to go to hell . . .
Just some thoughts...
Yes it would seem to be easier to just re-market an existing CD, but truthfully it's easier for Capitol to market a brand new CD. Capitol makes there money by selling to retailers, not direct to consumers, so you have to think: is a store really willing to buy a re-launching shipment of a CD that they can already order if their stock gets low and realistically didn't fly off the shelves by any means or buy a brand new album, one that seems to have a lower price point (assuming the price we've seen is real). Also from a financial stand point, it's smarter to build a marketing budget, regardless of how small it might be, to a brand new SKU then to try to work it into a two year old one.
This CD is marketed to the casual Everclear fan. There is a huge, clear picture of the band to help people visually recognize the band. It has a low price (again assuming what we've seen is right), and will probably have a limited tracklisting that only features hits, no fan favorites or b-sides. This way people would see the CD and noticed it has all the songs they know and love, and no songs they don't know, and be priced attractively.
I really hope my logic is way off and we get a CD with some new stuff besides pictures (regardless of how cool the picture may be)
