Maybe I've been missing something, but this was the first Iv'e heard of it today. Very Storytellers-ish but intriguing.

Got tix, looking forward to it!

Yep, me too. I was coming here to post about it, the dates will officially be announce on ECO tomorrow, in the meantime here is the tour description I found:

Art Alexakis, known as the charismatic frontman of the multi-platinum band Everclear, will embark on a US solo tour. With hits like the modern rock radio staples "Santa Monica," "Everything to Everyone," "I Will Buy You a New Life," "Father of Mine," and "Wonderful," fans will get the chance to experience an intimate acoustic performance and stories from his career.

It looks like most of the dates are up at everclearonline.com. 4 Texas dates. I'm definitely going to the New Braunfels show, not very far from San Antonio.

Long time, no post.

For those who don't know, I have a long, storied history of Art solo shows. Well... only if you consider playing keyboards on E2E three times "long" and "storied". Anyway, I'm not missing this freaking NYC show! Just got my tickets to the NYC City WInery! Hoping he's getting people on stage like the early '00s, but the show has the title ("Songs and Stories"), so I'd be surprised, but still on the ready to grab the keytar once more! I'm still living off of the glory from having the entire Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA, chanting "DON! DON! DON! DON!" Yeah. I peaked that long of a time ago. But, screw anybody who tries to take those memories away from me!

Anyway, I'll be at City Winery here in NYC. Look for a big, redhead guy! You can't miss me!

For a long time I was convinced he was avoiding Texas like the plague.
Making the hour+ drive up to the Conroe show that Tuesday. It will make for a long, sleepy Wednesday at work...

Yeah. And it was just announced this morning that Everclear is headlining the San Antonio Rock N Roll Marathon on December 6! That will be a good weekend! (No, you don't have to run to see the band at the end of the race, thankfully!) Last year, I played with my church band as one of the local bands along the course, which we might do again, so I'll have to see when we end and hopefully I can make it to the Alamodome on time!

Why am I only finding out about this now?
This is awful. I've been waiting for this for a long time now.
I'm sick of going to Everclear shows where they play a crappy version of their hits
I'm sick of concerts where they group up and play a reduced set list.
What I want is a toned down version. Just Art. No band. Stories, and divergence from the only 12 songs they play
Sort of like the live show we have from 2003

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THIS IS
but I find out about it less than 24 hours between now and the only show I could make
This is bullshit

*edited. Maybe I can get plane tickets for one of the later shows. Maybe ya'll can let me know if it lives up to the hype without spoiling too much

If it makes you feel any better, the tour starts in November. The october shows Lee posted are full band.

Yeah. That does make me feel better. Even if I'd've knwn and could've driven the 5 hours, it wouldn't've been the show I wanted.
So, I do have a chance to make another trip. It may just involve some time off work and a plane

When is the last time something like this might happen? I'm trying to get a handle on when it may happen again if I miss it

Anybody get a chance to go to one of these shows yet? Any idea of the setlist?

I've only found a couple videos on youtube so and they're both E2E with guest keytarists, so purewhiteevil might be in luck.
