Great sound! Even better than The Man Who Broke His Own Heart. They really nailed the heavy sound. Vol. 2 was supposed to be a "rock" album, but the drums and guitars should have hit harder. This really does it and the songs so far are good! Plus it still has an Everclear signature or two on both songs.

Are the pledgers going to get their download soon? The album is out in just over a month.

There's an article on Guitar World about it. Sounds badass.

Thanks for the tab. I wish we could make this a regular thing for the new album. Let's try to figure out all the songs.
I will contribute once the album is out. I actually haven't listented to "American Monster" yet. It's gonna take will power, but I'm gonna wait.

This gives Jesus Was A Democrat some serious competition for all time worst Everclear song. :(

Glad some people like it though. I hope it's successful for them. I've got the sinking feeling this album won't have much for me though.

Love the rock - I would like the songs to be sped up a little though. I think then they would have more of a WON or SAF sound. Those songs were more pop punk grunge. I still don't care for the tuning down - I get arts voice isnt what it once was but I think the standard tuning would still sound good with him.

Love the drums and punch behind the songs though. Lyrics always are strong. Looking forward to the whole album.

Yeah this sucks in my opinion. Doesn't sound like Everclear. Sounds like guitars/melody of a different band, almost a little bit industrial rock sorta.

I'm all for a big guitars album but I'd prefer it still retain classic EC sound.

It's just one song, though. Personally, I enjoyed this track. But, I am reserving all judgments until I can hear the full album a few times through, proper like.
I feel that with Everclear albums, they really are ALBUMS, and are designed to be listened to from start to finish.
