Yes, wasn't it nice of them to wait until I could confirm my travel plans?

Well, if you missed me at the Cotton Club solo show in October, you certainly had your chance. Remember the shaggy-haired boy dancing around like an idiot with the keytar during "Everything to Everyone"? Ahh, that's right, you were still basking in the glow of your lap dance. ;):D:P

I'm hoping to make it, but there's a chance I'll be out of town that weekend. Fortunately, it's not like Nashville where tickets are more expensive at the door. Always good for procrastinators like me.

Since I don't have a reliable car, I'll have to wait until they come to Toronto, or at least New York or Detroit (here's hoping they do!)...

Cheers guys,
Lisa

i won't be. this is a festival show, though -- and the hardcores are right up front, where the sound isn't optimum for recording.

You know, I used to, then pretty much stopped. Especially with Everclear. Once you exit college, you start to realize that you never listen to the recordings you have, just the one or two that have particular meaning. And, for me, part of the fun of seeing Everclear was singing along and hanging with people. Hard to do that and get a good recording.

Not to mention the fact that people seem to be down on analog. And I'm not buying a MiniDisc player to get it snagged by security. (Especially post-9/11 where security has become a pain-in-the-ass in a lot of venues.)

You pretty much have to be off to the side, and the view from there isn't any good. (Though, as late as I was getting up front in Atlanta last year, that's pretty much where I ended up.)
