everclear radio

Post by everclear311 » Tue Jun 29, 2004 2:25 am

It would be cool if there was an "everclear radio" online where they played some live shows, b-sides, songs off the cds, and many others. it would play all day long 24/7. I think it would be awesome if someone would make something like that. 311 has one and its really cool. every wednesday and sunday they play a complete concert and have other little special things on it once in a while.

That sounds like a rad idea, and I could donate some full live shows if you want, but thats going to take a lot of time and energy, are you up for something like that?

If you have broadband, you can set one up, just get an old computer and use it as a shoutcast server. It really doesn't take up much CPU and it's fairly easy, could get at least 12 people at a decent bitrate.

Maybe we the members can make donations or you can make it like a pay thing, if everyone does at least $2 - $5 bucks a month we can swing it.

go to www.shoutcast.com, theres a tutorial telling you how to do it, if you can share internet w/ that old computer (router, hub, internet connection sharing via crossover cable, any way you can get broadband to that comp) you can set it up, all you need is Winamp and the software on that site, a Static IP address would be good though(static = IP that doesn't usually change, like Cable)
