Ok I can play this but I have a hard time with the half palm mutes in the first part . Can anybody instruct me on how to do this?

are you talking about muting the strings? if so, just put your fingers on the strings and don't push down; it'll mute the strings, and you pluck them.

i'm not sure that the last post had enough description but if it didnt try to search in on the web i have seen a few awhile ago w/pics, song example, and demonstration (can't remember it, and can't find it because i have a new comp.) or have someone show you. like a neighbor that used to play/does play or go to a bar/resturaunt and ask the person playing (before they begin, their break, or after) to help you, i'm sure they will help you and give you some good advice. Just buy them a drink or Something or tip them.

Yeah the palm mute was what I was talking about.. I just cant seem to get it right. Pissed me off because the song doesn't sound as good without it.

ok i don't know if i can explain it to you but here goes. basically what i do is just lay the side of my right hand and strum about 2 times and it gives it that kinda scratching sound. i hope that helps.
