Notes: The Easy Hoes formed in early 1989.  By February 1989, the Easy Hoes played their first live show.  By the fall of 1989, the band broke up.  They released one full length effort called ‘Tragic Songs of Life.’

Art Alexakis wrote two songs off the album, ‘Separation’, and ‘? (Gay Bar Song).’ He sang lead vocals also on ‘Poor Red Georgia Dirt’ and ‘In The Pines’. He also provides backing vocals on several other songs.

Many of the songs recorded by the Easy Hoes are actually covers. ‘On The Rock (Where Moses Stood)’ and ‘In The Pines’ are actually traditional songs. ‘In The Pines’ was made popular again by the band Nirvana when they performed the song on their MTV Unplugged performance under the name ‘Where Did You Sleep Last Night?’ ‘Poor Red Georgia Dirt’ is a Stonewall Jackson tune and ‘Lost Highway’ is a Hank Williams Sr. song.  ‘You Shook Me (All Night Long)’ is an interesting country rendition of the AC-DC classic.

Jeff Krebs wrote and sang the rest of the songs except for ‘Chicken’, which was written and features backing vocals by Kim Rohrbach.

“What You Like About Love” appears on Art Alexakis’ BMI repertoire and is co-written with Kim Rohrbach. Nothing else is known about the song.

“Tommy On The Spot” also appears on Art Alexakis’ BMI repertoire, and is owned by Viking Music. Nothing else is known about the song. Both songs are assumed to be written around this time.

An unknown clip was tacked on the end of the ‘Art Alexakis Demography’ which is probably an outtake of an unknown Easy Hoes song.  The guitar work is very similar to Jeff Krebs and has the same overall sound of something found off the album.  Nothing else is known about the song at this time.
