Separation

Post by George » Sat Feb 10, 2007 3:44 pm

I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been able to spend as much time tabbing as I would like to. Separation is difficult to figure out because it's hard to hear the individual notes with the way it's mixed. One note... if you're trying to play along with the recording and it sounds off a little bit, it's because the recording is sped up slightly (about a quarter step).

Code: Select all

Intro
E|----------0------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------1-----1--------------1-----------3----------0-|
G|-------0--------0-----0--------0-----------0----------0----|
D|----2-----------------------2-----------4----------1-------|
A|-3-----------------------3-----------5----------2----------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------|

Verse (Chords)
E|-0--0----3--3----0--3--2-2-|
B|-1--1----3--3----1--3--3-3-|
G|-0--0----0--0----0--0--2-2-|
D|-2--2----0--0----2--0--0-0-|
A|-3--3----x--x----3--x------|
E|---------3--3-------3------|

Transition ("... keep from being ripped in two")
E|------------------------|
B|------------------------|
G|-2--4--2--4--2--4--2--0-|
D|-0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0-|
A|------------------------|
E|------------------------|

"Sitting in the dark hearing John-Joe sing..." and "You're always out screwing 'round..."
Em [022000]

"Wish I had in me the power to make you disappear..."
E|----------------------------------------2--------|
B|-------1-----------3--------------3--------3-----|
G|----0-----------------------0-----------------0--|
D|----------------------0--------------0-----------|
A|-3--------2--0-----------3-----------------------|
E|----------------3--------------3-----------------|

George, thanks again for at least getting my guitar playing going in the right direction with this. Sorry it's taken me a while to post that. Keep up the good work!

I edited the first post to update the tab. The last section may be what is being played during all the verses, but it's hard to hear, so if you just want to play the chords in rhythm with the bass that works too. Hope this helps!

Edit: If anyone is interested in hearing what the tab sounds like in the section "Wish I had in me the power to make you disappear...", I did a quick recording of it, you can hear it here:
