Post by Rob » Thu Apr 12, 2007 6:03 pm

does anyone know where i can find the tab to the version of sparkle art likes to play on his own accousticly?
i've got a couple recordings of it, but no tabs i've seen on the internet seem to match up or come close.

I've only seen one version on the internet, and I use the same progression whether I'm playing acoustic or electric (obviously, playing slower)

e-2-2-0--2-2-2-0-0-0 play a few times then
B-3-3-3--3-3-3-3-3-3
G-2-2-2--2-2-2-2-2-2
D-0-0-0--0-0-0-0-0-0
A-0-0-0--0-0-0-0-0-0
E-0-0-0--0-0-0-0-0-0

e-0h2-2-2-2-0 play as needed
B-3—--3-3-3-3
G-2—--2-2-2-2
D-0—--0-0-0-0
A-0—--0-0-0-0
E-0—--0-0-0-0

For the verse on the acoustic, I just pick these chords

end of intro D F# G D
I remember when you seemed really shiny with the sweat of

B A D G
Now I’ve got no place to go I’ve got no place to go

B A G
I have given up on the sparkle that I saw in you

E G
yeah, that simple minded sparkle that I thought I saw

After the second verse I play the part of the intro with the hammer on thing (the second part of the intro) as the bridge thingy.

Sorry this sucks, hope it helps

thanks. i'm sure this would help someone of some experience, but i am very new at this.
i do have a bit of understanding from piano though.

the version i'm thinking of has a lot of picking in it.

Yeah, I know what version(s) you're talking about. For the verses and choruses, instead of strumming the chords, just appreggiate them. They're all the same picking pattern, so just play around with it. I pick like this E-A-D-e-E on pretty much every chord.
